In the center of Ningbo’s new business district, a two storey space on the corner of a recently completed building will host the Headquarters of DCC colorants and the annexed showroom of Italian interior design products and materials.
The peculiar diagram of the project has been developed from a memory of the old doll’s houses that, once opened in section, revealed their tiny furnished rooms.
The space, developed in four levels, is subdivided in plan in a serie of rooms all leaning on the big curved glazed facade. As a result, the whole section is revealed in elevation as a huge shelving of rooms, each set and furnished in a different way.
The structure also offers a cafeteria and club service, colonising the public space on the canal quay in the summertime.
