On the mansard roof of an early 20th century building, a dusty storage is transformed into a charming attic. Due to the necessity to exploit every single square centimetre of suitable height, the plan took the articulated shape of a welcoming labyrinth flooded by light.
In order to limit the weight, the interior setting was extensively realised in plasterboard, the tangled frame of the roof wooden beam structure stands out hence on the white background of ceilings and walls.
The small terrace, dug out from the roof, projects the living space of the flat towards a breathtaking view of Bologna skyline.
